Synopsis
Inspired by Lord Byron’s poem Darkness (1816), which talks about a world forced to live in a dark and cold reality where the sun one day dies, AFTER DARKNESS tells the story of a family in present times coming together in their country home to live a similar scenario. As the sun burns out, cold and darkness permeate, and hope for survival and rescue slowly crumble, the family is forced to confront long lasting divides amongst each other and heal painful memories from the past.
