Luxury Home Décor and Souvenirs from Dubai
The One: Swedish designs
The One is Swedish-owned, but don’t expect Ikea. With a focus on the eclectic and luxurious, the carefully curated products are (ethically) sourced from around the world. Seasonal, trend-based collections are themed, such as Rustic Living or Bohemian Glam, so an entire range of products – from plates, glasses and linens, to corner tables and lamps – has cool cohesion. Expect a sense of drama in metallic or luxe fabrics – and even The One’s own line of lounge music CDs. Larger outlets are also home to small cafes offering fantastic food.

Comptoir 102: Eclectic one-offs
A passion project of two Dubai-based French women, Comptoir 102, housed in a villa, is a haven of beautiful – and effortlessly cool – fashion and homewares. The concept store offers one-off pieces sourced by the design-loving owner duo from their travels around the world. There are crockery sets, vases and candelabras, art and trinkets, as well as dramatic pieces of furniture. The on-site café offers healthy food, and the store is also home to a weekly farmers’ market. If that wasn’t enough, Comptoir also holds events with leading regional designers, including, most recently, renowned Lebanese furniture designer Nada Debs. It’s no surprise that this spot is popular among Dubai’s arty types.
