Synopsis
On December 8th 1980, John Lennon was shot outside of the Dakota apartment building in New York City. The Lennon Report follows the unbelievable true story of those who were part of his attempted rescue and witnesses to the human cost of tragedy. When Emergency Department Nurses Barbara Kammerer and Deatra Sato paged Dr. David Halleran about a John Doe shooting victim they had no idea he would turn out to be the worlds biggest rock star. Alan Weiss an ambitious young news producer, awaiting treatment following a motorcycle accident, finds himself in a position to break the biggest story of his life. Dr. Halleran, with the help of surgeon Dr. Marks, attempts to resuscitate John Lennon. This dramatic surgery is done under the watchful eye of the Emergency Department Director, Dr. Lynn. Alan Weiss ignores the orders of his doctor and struggles with Security Officer Medina to break the story and tell the world what’s happened.
